The Bill on the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Art will be included in the agenda of the First regular session of the National Parliament in 2008, announced the Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia Dr Oliver Dulić during the talks with the delegation of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Art (SAS) held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008. The SASA delegation was headed by the SASA President Nikola Hajdin. The importance of speeding up the enactment of the Law on Academy, which is currently in the municipal procedure, was pointed out. The SASA representatives seconded the motion that, prior to its review at the session of the National Parliament, a public debate on the proposed legal solutions should be organized at the House of the Parliament where the representatives of institutions, the Academy, parliament members and public would take part. President Dulić acquainted the guests with the plan of activities of the National Parliament, which will be faced in 2008 with the task of harmonizing the national legislation with the European and reform of the judiciary.
