President of SASA, academician Nikola Hajdin, has received the winners of medals

Today, September 23, 2009, in the Academy Club, the President of SASA, academician Nikola Hajdin, has received the winners of medals at the International Physics and Mathematics Olympiads.

The most talented seventeen students had the opportunity to talk to the President of SASA, Director of the Astronomic Observatory Zoran Knežević, corresponding member Đorđe Šijački, Presidents of the SASA Departments and eminent mathematicians and physicists, members of SASA.

At the reception for the medal-winners, young mathematicians and physicists got as present the book Ciklusi i zapisi (Cycles and Documents), by Milutin Milanković.
The President of SASA reiterated that this is one of the contacts the Academy intends to establish with young people, future scientists and potential members since this is a unique way to convince new generations that they make the future of Serbia, that their place is here and that they should contribute to Serbia's development by their work and knowledge.
