THE RECEPTION FOR STUDENTS, THE WINNERS OF MEDALS AND INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS

The president of SASA, academician Nikola Hajdin, and members of the Executive Board have organized the reception for the winners of medals at the International Mathematical, Physics and Olympiads in Astrophysics, Astronomy and Information Technology.
Our gifted high school students have won a significant number of medals at the following competitions: International Mathematical Olympiad (Kazakhstan, July 5-15, 2010), International Physics Olympiad (Croatia, July 17-25, 2010), International Olympiad in Information Technology (Canada, August 14-21, 2010), Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (Moldova, May 2010), Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (Romania, Jun 18-22, 2010), International Junior Scientific Olympiad (Nigeria, December 2-11, 2010), International Olympiad in Astronomy (Ukraine October 16-24, 2010) and International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics (China, September 12-21, 2010).
The president of SASA, Nikola Hajdin, sent a massage to the young talented people, and future scientists, that it is useful to specialize abroad but that they, however, should plan their return to their homeland.
Academicians Cvetković and Sijacki praised the achievements of the students and encouraged them to engage further in operation of the research centers, institutes and laboratories in Serbia.
After the reception, the academician Horbut talked to the students who are interested to work in the field of physics.
