Protocol on Cooperation between Radio “Slovo Ljubve” and SANU

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Mr. Irinej, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Belgrade-Karlovac Archbishopric Radio “Slovo Ljubve” and Mr. Budimir Loncar, Executive Director of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Art, signed a Protocol on Cooperation today, January 24, at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade.
On signing of this significant document the Serbian Patriarch Irinej said that the cooperation with SASA is an honor and a need at our times. Wishing success in the future work His Holiness expressed his hope that our peoples will only benefit from this cooperation, both morally and culturally. “In our history the cooperation between the Serbian Orthodox Church and SASA has always existed, and at the present times the need for cooperation is needed more than ever. I believe this Protocol to be very useful and that this is also one of the ways for both the voice of the Church to be heard as well as the voice of the greatest institution, the Academy” Patriarch Irinej pointed out.
Budimir Loncar, the SASA Executive Director pointed out that by signing the Protocol the Academy wishes to achieve for its work be better known, particularly realized in cooperation with the Serbian Orthodox Church, because there are many areas in which there are many activities whose existence the people around us are not aware of.
The Director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities, Dr Mileta Radojevic, emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Serbia will continue to provide support to activities pertaining to preservation of tradition, history and preservation of our roots.
The official signing of the Protocol was also attended by Vicar Bishop of Remezijan Mr. Andrej.
