2022 Annual Meeting of the Gypsy Lore Society and Conference on Romani Studies
The 2022 Annual Meeting of the Gypsy Lore Society and Conference on Romani Studies will be organised in Belgrade, Serbia, from the 28th to the 30th September 2022. The conference is co-organised by the Board for the Study of Life and Customs of the Roma at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA) and will take place at the SASA’s building on Knez Mihailova street 35, in central Belgrade.
Gypsy Lore Society conferences are the biggest annual scholarly events devoted to Romani Studies worldwide. We invite contributions on any aspect of Romani Studies and encourage participants from various disciplines, including history, ethnology, anthropology, sociology, political science, linguistics, international studies, security studies, area studies, economics, geography, literature, and other fields of humanities and social sciences. Panels and papers presenting interdisciplinary research, as well as synergies between academic research and practice are also welcome.
Languages of the conference are English and Romani. Proposals for pre-arranged panels in Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian/Montenegrin will be accepted.
