Concert of Abisal Gergiev as a finale of SASA Gallery concert season

As part of the programme ‘Concert at the SASA Gallery’, the 2020/2021 concert season will be closed by a young Russian pianist Abisal Gergiev, the son of the renowned conductor Valery Gergiev, on Thursday, 1 July. The programme features pieces by Schubert, Rachmaninoff, and Scriabin.

Abisal Georgiev was born in 2000 in Saint Petersburg (Russia). He was only four years old when he started his musical education. He completed the Special Secondary Music School of the St Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in 2019, in the class of Professor Alexander Sandler.  He is currently a student at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston in the class of Professor Wha Kyung Byun. His first performance with the Mariinsky Orchestra was conducted by Valery Georgiev, on the occasion of the opening of the State Philharmonic of the Republic of North Ossetia–Alania in 2016. He had a concert at the Musical Theatre in Basel in Switzerland. In addition to these, he performed as an accompanist in the concert halls of Saint Petersburg and Moscow, taking part in performing chamber music of Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, and Bruch. He has cooperated with conductors Zaurbek Gugkaev and Artyom Markin. At present, he studies with the pianist and professor Mira Jevtić.
