International scientific conference ’125th Anniversary of Architect Nikola Dobrović’s Birth (1897-2022)’

As part of the marking of 125 years since the birth of an acclaimed Serbian and Yugoslav architect Nikola Dobrović, the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Belgrade, in cooperation with the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade, organize the international scientific conference titled ’125th Anniversary of Architect Nikola Dobrović’s Birth (1897-2022)’, on 17 and 18 November. The Conference opens at the SASA Grand Hall, on Thursday, 17 November, at 10 a.m. The following day, 18 November, the programme continues at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Belgrade.

There are 62 lecturers participating in this event (architects and art historians) from eight countries, who will deliver their 20-minute-long presentations of the results of their research.

The public will get an overview of the most modern interpretations of Dobrović’s work in the field of architectural design, urban planning, theory, criticism, historiography, academic education and protection of cultural monuments. Following the closing of the scientific conference, the presented papers are planned to be published in special edition proceedings.
