ON ARCHITECTURE – LEARNING ARCHITECTURE

The online international interdisciplinary exhibition ‘ON ARCHITECTURE – LEARNING ARCHITECTURE’ follows the eponymous conference and is a part of a programme series ‘On Architecture’.

The main topic relies on the concept developed and realized for eight years in previous conferences, and it is related to a multidisciplinary approach to architecture, research expanding and the significance of understanding architecture in accordance with the current UNESCO platform – Learning City.

The exhibition aims to consider the position and role of architecture and urban design, as well as the contribution of art and science via the analysis of good practices which improve life in a city as a basic artefact of the urban structure of cities.

The exhibition consists of ten thematic units: modelling the future – modelling future architecture and design with environmental and social implications;  smart design in architecture, urban design, home and street furniture, smart lighting; technology and architecture – how the use of digital technologies transforms the work process; scientific research and architectural practice; art as inspiration; innovative solutions in methodological approach and design in the use of materials; innovation in art, architecture, science and technology in the contemporary life, in the digital age; Playing City – gamification in urban design and town planning; innovation in information technology – improved use and user experience; good practices – learning architecture.

The exhibition will feature drawings, projects, photographs and product designs, video and audio recordings. The authors of the works are renowned artists and architects from ten countries.
