1 – 24 April 2021

Organized by: Oluj Scale Modelling Club, Belgrade Scale Modellers Club and the SASA Gallery of Science and Technology

The exhibition ‘The Second World War in Miniature – 80 Years since the April War’ is to be held in April on the occasion of 80 years since the event which initiated the Second World War in Serbia.

More than 100 miniature models of military vehicles of this period – aeroplanes, ships, cars, dioramas and vignettes will be showcased in the exhibition. In addition to models, the exhibition will feature panels with drawings and photographs, maps of combat operations, newspaper excerpts and texts.

Considering the tumultuous events which cut down the number of museum exhibits in combat technique of this period, a model has asserted itself as a convenient medium that offers a visitor a 3D representation and understanding of the aforementioned technological achievements.

The exhibition appeals to the general public, with one of its goals being the introduction of modelling in Serbia to visitors.
