‘The World and Times of Slobodan Jovanović (1869–1958)’ is the title of the exhibition which is organized at the SASA Gallery on the occasion of 150 years of the birth of eminent Serbian scientist and politician, Academician and President of the Serbian Royal Academy Slobodan Jovanović.

Slobodan Jovanović was one of the greatest Serbian intellectuals, an exceptionally gifted man of vast knowledge. Among other things, he was a professor of law who laid the foundations for constitutional law and political sociology, writer of several historical books, rector of the University of Belgrade, sociologist, politician and literary critic. He died in exile, and he was rehabilitated in 2007.

The exhibition will shed light on the life and work of Slobodan Jovanović, as well as on circumstances in which he created and worked. His contribution to science and new interpretations of the development and range of his intellectual legacy will be presented, while the existing knowledge will be supplemented by newly discovered data and archival records.
