BEAUTY OF THE CAVES OF EASTERN SERBIA

MILLIONS OF YEARS OF SILENCE AND FORMATION

The photographs from the oeuvre of Stanko Kostić that will be on display at the exhibition, Beauty of Caves of Eastern Serbia ‒ Millions of Years of Silence and Formation, were taken in the following caves of Eastern Serbia: Ceremošnje, Ravništarke, Lazar’s, Bogovina, Resava (the first cave adapted to tourists), Rajko’s and Dubočka (these two were first explored by Jovan Cvijić), Pogane Peći (which belongs to the group of erosional caves), and the caves at the prerast (natural stone bridge) of Samar.

Also displayed at the exhibition will be photographs of prerasti, including Samar, Šuplja Stena, Vratnja, and the Tunnel cave on the Zamna River.
