The Administrative Service of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts performs professional, administrative, technical, financial, legal, general and other tasks for the needs of SASA. The Administrative Service is headed by the Executive Director and comprises several sections.
SECTION FOR TASKS RELATED TO THE PRESIDENCY
This section organizes and implements election procedures in SASA, organizes sessions of SASA bodies, and performs professional, administrative and technical tasks required by the SASA President, Executive Council and departments, as well as protocol-related activities.

SECTION FOR LEGAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS
This section performs tasks related to legal representation, regulations, proprietary-legal issues, legal employment status and human resources, as well as other law-related tasks, clerical duties, courier and typing services and other administrative tasks.

SECTION FOR PUBLISHING
This section organizes and performs all the tasks related to SASA’s publishing activities, such as design and typesetting, copyediting, proofreading, translation, printing, publishing, storage and distribution of SASA publications.

SECTION FOR ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL TASKS
This section performs financial tasks for SASA, SASA Fund for Research in Sciences and Arts, and SASA endowments and foundations. These include drafting financial plans, payment operations, billing and invoicing clients, tracking the payment of receivables, accounting and payment of salaries, procuring equipment, office supplies and services, obtaining insurance coverage for property and persons, keeping financial accounts of SASA and its endowments and foundations (keeping records of revenues and expenditures). The section is charged with monitoring the results of business operations, the state of assets and any changes to them, receivables and debts and the state of financial and material means, as well as with producing periodical and annual revenue accounts.

SECTION FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF MEETINGS AND LECTURES AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
This section organizes scientific and other national and international meetings, solemn academies, lectures by scientists and artists, cycles of lectures, visits of SASA delegations to foreign academies and other similar institutions, visits of foreign delegations to SASA, study visits of SASA representatives abroad based on cooperation agreements and vice versa, and other tasks related to international cooperation.

SECTION FOR TASKS RELATED TO THE SASA FUND FOR RESEARCH IN SCIENCES AND ARTS, FOUNDATIONS, ENDOWMENTS AND LEGACIES
This section performs tasks related to planning and conducting research projects of SASA boards, monitors how SASA Fund’s financial means are spent as well as special funds allocated by relevant ministries or institutions for the realization of SASA projects. It also organizes scientific gatherings, round tables and panel discussions on behalf of SASA boards, departments and professional committees, as well as tasks related to the operations of SASA funds, foundations, endowments and legacies.

SECTION FOR TECHNICAL TASKS, PHYSICAL SECURITY AND FIRE PROTECTION
This section performs tasks related to the maintenance of SASA premises, provision of technical conditions for the organization of meetings at SASA, transport and vehicle maintenance, physical security of persons and property, fire protection, organization of cocktail parties during meetings at SASA, and other related tasks.

GROUP FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
This group performs tasks in the fields of information systems, databases, Internet services and web applications, defines development strategies for information technologies in keeping with business requirements, and implements architectures of information systems and computer networks, performs operational monitoring, management and administration of server equipment and workstations, defines, implements and administers procedures aimed at protecting the information system and other related tasks.

GROUP FOR TASKS RELATED TO PRINTING AND DOCUMENTATION
This group produces copies of materials required by SASA, designs invitation cards and other materials, designs printed materials, documents SASA activities, updates SASA website and performs other relevant tasks.

The SASA Administrative Service also performs tasks related to the work of the SASA Branch in Novi Sad, SASA Branch in Niš, as well as tasks related to the activities of the following SASA units: SASA Archives, SASA Library, SASA Gallery of Visual Arts and Music, SASA Gallery of Science and Technology, Archives in Sremski Karlovci, Audiovisual Archives, and SASA Center for Digitalization. It also performs tasks related to public procurements and relations with the media.
