In the long history of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts its membership included famous scientists, artists and writers who left an indelible mark on the history of Serbia, the former Yugoslav republics and the world. Among them were Nikola Tesla, Mihailo Pupin, Milutin Milanković, Jovan Cvijić, Ivo Andrić, and many others, to whom the world is indebted for their timeless work.
