Dado through Words and Paintings
As part of the exhibition ’Dado: Natural History 1953 – 2000’ an accompanying programme titled ’Dado through Words and Paintings’ will take place at the Gallery of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts on Friday, 31 January, at 6 p.m. The work of Midorag Dado Đurić will be discussed by Amarante Szidon, the exhibition’s author and the artist’s daughter and François-Marie Deyrolle, the editor of the Editions de l’Atelier contemporain Publishing House specializing in contemporary art and art critique. Kamini Vellodi of the Royal College of Arts will explore the interest of French philosopher Gilles Deleuze in the artist. The evening will conclude with translator Paul Buck presenting his latest Dado-inspired work.
The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the foundations Plavo and Za srpski narod i državu, will remain open to the public until 2 March 2025.
