As part of a global popular campaign ’Brain Awareness Week’, students of biology, medicine, pharmacy and psychology have prepared a diverse programme on the topic of the development of the nervous system entitled ’The Power of the Mind: Evolution of Intelligence’.
Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition and get familiar with the topic of intelligence, its scientific interpretation, as well as contemporary application. The project material is divided into several parts, each being accompanied by an interactive display. Evolution, neuroanatomy and intelligence disorders, along with intelligence in animals and artificial intelligence, are some of the topics, while the regular exhibition will be accompanied by lectures of the professors of the University of Belgrade and scientific researchers.
The weekend days, 19 and 20 March, are dedicated to preschool and school children for whom interactive workshops and a quiz on the intelligence in animals have been prepared, in cooperation with the Belgrade Zoo. Before the workshops, there will be guided tours through the zoo, where volunteers will present interesting facts on the brain structure and intelligence of some species, as well as the differences among them. Young visitors will get the opportunity to express their creativity and the understanding of intelligence through children’s artistic and literary competition titled ’Little Genius’.
