Membership of Society of Serbian Letters (SSL) full member from 1 August 1848; SSL President from 22 October 1859 until 29 March 1860; SSL vice-president in 1863

Membership of Serbian Learned Society (SLS): honorary member inducted on 29 July 1864; Board for Philosophical and Philological Sciences, full member from 6 February 1869 and Board for Promotion of Science and Literature among the People from 1883
