Round table ’25th Anniversary of the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities: European Standards, Implementation and Key Challenges in Serbia’

Organised by the SASA Board for the Study of National Minorities and Human Rights in cooperation with the Council of Europe, the round table entitled ’25th Anniversary of the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities: European Standards, Implementation and Key Challenges in Serbia’ will take place in the SASA Hall 3 on Wednesday, 7 October, at 10.30 a.m.

The Republic of Serbia acceded to the Council of Europe’s Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities on 11 May 2001. The Convention entered into force for Serbia on 1 September 2001. The year 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of its entry into force, which represents a significant anniversary and an opportunity for comprehensive, scientifically based analysis of the scope, challenges and future direction of the protection of national minorities in Serbia.
