Scholarly gathering ‘State Polity: Sovereignty in the Age of Globalization’

The two-day scholarly gathering, “State Polity: Sovereignty in the Age of Globalization”, fifth in the series, Strategic Development Trends in 21st Century Serbia, starts on Friday, Feb. 8, at 10 a.m., in the Grand Hall of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. On the first day, the participants will be discussing political and geostrategic issues and, on the second day, legal aspects of sovereignty in the age of globalization. The issues discussed, among other things, will include sovereignty between theory and practice, sovereignty as a modern problem, the case of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija, ethnic minorities, and constitutional law and state sovereignty in the face of globalization.

Previous gatherings in the series dealt with the issues of culture, education, science and economy.
