Symposium ‘Parkinson’s Disease: 2020/21’

The symposium ‘Parkinson’s Disease: 2020/21’ which opens at the SASA Grand Hall, on Friday, 11 June, at 9 a.m. comprises 15 lectures on the subject. The first part deals with the basic mechanisms of pathophysiology and genetics of Parkinson’s disease, as well as epidemiology and the quality of life with the disease, while the second part will feature the latest findings on its motor and non-motor clinical aspects. This will be followed by the lectures on the natural disease course, differential diagnosis, and the significance of supplementary diagnostic methods. The last session underscores the review of the contemporary therapy of Parkinson’s disease.

The lectures will also encompass the presentations of characteristic cases of patients with recommendations for differential diagnostic and therapeutic dilemmas. It is planned that the interactivity of the conference will thus be conveyed.

Live streaming of the symposium is available at the SASA website (https://www.sanu.ac.rs/direktan-prenos/)
