The Thirteenth Danube Academies Conference (DAC) at SASA

The Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in cooperation with the European Academy of Sciences and Arts is hosting the Thirteenth Danube Academies Conference (DAC) on 9 – 10 October 2024 in Belgrade.

The Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, in collaboration with the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, is organizing the Thirteenth Danube Academies Conference (DAC) on October 9–10, 2024, in Belgrade. The official opening ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 9 October, at 10 a.m. at the SASA Grand Hall, located on Kneza Mihaila Street.

The Danube Academies Conference is a project initiated by the European Academy of Sciences and Arts in Salzburg, bringing together national academies from the Danube region with a focus on their development. To date, twelve conferences have been held in various cities across Central and Eastern Europe. This year’s conference will center on the theme ‘Green Blue Danube,’ which covers all aspects of the European Green Deal. Topics will include the preservation of Europe’s natural capital, clean air and water, sustainable chemical use, food safety, agricultural transformation, clean and affordable energy, achieving climate neutrality, sustainable transport, and the transition to a circular economy in the Danube region.

The event will feature representatives from academies in the Danube region, along with prominent domestic and international researchers and scholars specializing in these fields.
