UNIVERSAL OBJECTS

APRIL 28 – MAY 25, 2017

The Center for the Promotion of Science organizes in Belgrade the second Art & Science festival, which involves art exhibitions, accompanying activities and a multifarious educational program.

The SASA Gallery of Science and Technology participates in the Art & Science festival events this year by organizing the exhibition, Universal Objects, of the Serbo-Slovenian artist Tanja Vujinović.

At the exhibition, Tanja Vujinović will display works from her Universal Objects cycle, created in the environment of computer games taking place in real time. A digital world is inhabited by mutated objects that create a space for contemplation and relaxation. Visitors will be able to enjoy chance walks or embark on a journey of unrestricted exploration of space. The exhibition will also feature digital prints from the same cycle.

In her works, Tanja Vujinović analyzes the relationship between consciousness and technology through digital animism and contemplative games. Her works are created through her use of computer applications, adapted electronics, and physical and digital objects assuming forms of particular situations or complex dynamic environments animated by virtual machines.
