VIII Symposium of the Serbian Proteomic Association

This year as well, the Serbian Proteomic Association is traditionally organising the eighth symposium titled “Application of Multiomics Technologies in Biochemistry and Biomedicine’, which officially opens on Friday, 19 June, at the SASA Grand Hall, at 11 a.m.

The topic of the symposium is a highly relevant one, dealing with the application of multiomics technologies in the fields of food science, environmental protection and medical research. This approach in biochemistry supports a deeper understanding of the signalling pathways and dynamic changes of biomolecules. Multiomics technologies are of particular significance in the research of the mechanisms of the onset and progression of diseases, as well as in the development of personalised medicine. The integration of data generated by means of multiomics approaches enables a better understanding of individual differences in treatment response, facilitates earlier diagnosis and more precise therapeutic interventions.

Thanks to the development of advanced analytical and bioinformatics tools, multiomics technologies are becoming ever more available and represent a powerful tool for the advancement of fundamental and applied research in biochemistry and biomedicine.
