4th International Conference on Future Education

The Fourth International Conference on Future Education, organized by the World Academy of Art and Science will open at the SASA Grand Hall, on Tuesday, 12 November, at 9 a.m.

In 2013, the World Academy of Art and Science launched a series of global conferences on future education which explored the challenges humanity is facing in education nowadays, including new technologies, overly narrow specializations, as well as the need to change teaching and studying techniques. According to Nebojša Nešković, general secretary of the World Academy of Art and Science, a new paradigm of education has been explored which would encompass a fundamental shift from a subject to a student, from information transmission toward development of capabilities of independent thinking and problem solving, from mental capacity development toward a full personality development of a student.

The fourth Conference will have six plenary sessions and 15 parallel panel-discussions, where 93 presenters from 29 countries will deliver lectures. In addition to the World Academy of Art and Science, the organizers are the World University Consortium, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, University of Belgrade, Serbian Association of Economists and the Serbian Chapter of the Club of Rome.
