University professor: Faculty of Philosophy, Belgrade, full professor (from 1956); founder of the Department of General Literature and Literary Theory; Centre (later Institute) of Literary Theory and Arts, founder (1950) and director (1960–1966)

Membership of SASA: Department of Literature and Language (now Department of Language and Literature from 1969): corresponding member from 21 December 1961; full member from 16 December 1965; secretary of the Department of Literature and Language from 1 March 1963 until 19 December 1974; SASA general secretary from 19 December 1974 until 15 December 1977; SASA vice-president from 15 December 1977 until 19 November 1981

Accession speech:  Characteristics of R. Domanović’s Style. Posebna izdanja / SANU. Spomenice. 402, 30 (1967) 101–109. He did not deliver it at a gathering on 28 April 1966. It was given as a contribution to Spomenica.
