As a scholarship student of the British Council, he was trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London (England) under Prof. M. Besser, PhD (1986);
As a scholarship student of the International Institute for Scientific and Technical Cooperation of Serbia, he was trained twice at Middlesex Hospital in London under Prof. H.S. Jacobs, PhD (1987 and 1988);
As a scholarship student of the Ministry of Science of the Republic of Serbia, he stayed at Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston (USA) under Prof. D. Simonson, PhD, as well as at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital at Harvard University in Boston (USA) under Prof. G. Williams, PhD;
He attended a postgraduate course of endocrinology organized by the European Federation of Endocrine Societies in Aiugva Blava, Spain as a scholarship student of the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain (1994);
Trained at diabetology at Steno Memorial Hospital, Copenhagen. Denmark, under Prof. N. Parving, PhD (1998)
