SASA MEMBERSHIP ELECTIONS HELD

The SASA Membership Assembly, held on Thursday, 4 November, elected 12 full, 13 corresponding, and five foreign members to SASA. There were a total of 54 candidates, 13 of which were for full members, 36 for corresponding as well as five for foreign members.

Following the secret ballot, SASA full membership criteria were fulfilled by the next candidates: Vladimir Rakočević (Department of Mathematics, Physics and Geo Sciences), Vladica Cvetković (Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Geo Sciences ), Miloš Đuran (Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences), Velimir Popsavin (Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences), Slobodan Vukosavić (Department of Technical Sciences), Velimir Radmilović (Department of Technical Sciences), Goran Stanković (Department of Medical Sciences), Bela Balint (Department of Medical Sciences), Marko Bumbaširević (Department of Medical Sciences), Miodrag Marković (Department of Historical Sciences), Slavenko Terzić (Department of Historical Sciences) and Svetislav Božić (Department of Arts).

Among 36 candidates for corresponding members, 13 were elected. The new corresponding member of the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Geo Sciences is Igor Dolinka. New corresponding members of the Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences are Marjan Niketić and Željko Tomanović. New corresponding members are also Miodrag Mihaljević, Vladimir Srdić and Vladan Devedžić (Department of Technical Sciences), Miodrag Loma and Milivoj Nenin (Department of Language and Literature); Dragan Bogetić (Department of Historical Sciences); Mrđan Bajić, Dejan Mijač, Miodrag Tabački and Slobodan Šijan (Department of Arts).

All nominated candidates for foreign members were approved and they are Časlav Brukner, Slobodan Simonović, Natalya Narochnitskaya, Günter Prinzing and Nikita Sergeyevich Mikhalkov.
