1874.
	17 February	President Janko Šafarik highlighted the achievements of the Society. On the recommendation of Prince Milan, state funds allocated to the Society were increased. (Gl. SUD 43 (1876) 377-379).
	4 May	Jovan Đorđević read his proposal for  the translation of ‘Hellenistic and Roman writers.’ At the same assembly, Milan Kujundžić opposed this proposal. (Gl. SUD 44 (1877) 366-374).
	4 May	The book titled Flora of the Principality of Serbia by Josif Pančić was published

1875.
	2 January	Minister of Education and Church Affairs Stojan Novaković recommended that the Society adopt a programme of activities and expand its fundamental tasks. (Gl SUD 44 (1877) 434-436).
	2 June	Thirty ducats were allocated for the installation of the permanent Meridian pedestal (Gl. SUD 44 (1877) 450-452).
	13 June	The Executive Board decided to amend Article 25 of the Administrative Organization Rules stating ’The President of the Society is elected for a one- year term at the Annual Assembly from among its full members.’ (Gl. SUD 44 (1877) 454).
	22 December	Minister of Education Stojan Bošković stated his views on on the reorganisation of the Society’s work. (Gl. SUD 44 (1877) 439-443).

1876.
	23 January	A commission tasked with drafting a new programme of the Society was appointed. (Gl. SUD 44 (1877) 444).
	13 June	The Annual Assembly elected Stojan Bošković as President of the Society from among its members. (Gl. SUD 44 (1877) 453-454).

1877.
	9 April.	This year, it was decided to organise once again, on the Society’s premises, an exhibition of the drawings that Milutinović and Valtrović had made across Serbia between 1871 and 1875. (Gl. SUD 45 (1877), 354).
	20 April	Josif Pančić informed the Society of the discovery of a new plant species of spruce. (Gl SUD 45 (1877) 350).
	12 June	At the Annual Assembly, President Stojan Bošković spoke about the role of the Society during the turbulent times of the Serbian-Turkish wars. (Gl. SUD 45 (1877) 364-373).
	13 June	Changes and amendments to the organisation of the Serbian Learned Society were adopted, with the following being emphasised: independent scientific research; it was determined which sciences were to be treated in general and which were to be limited to a particular scientific field; and the popularisation of science was placed under separate administration. 1878.
	18 June	The number of members of the boards, as well as the reclassification of full members to honorary members due to inactivity, were discussed by the Minister of Education, Alimpije Vasiljević, and the Society. (Gl. SUD 47 (1879), 340–346).
	13 July	The Congress of Berlin concluded with the recognition of Serbia’s independence. Serbia’s representative was Jovan Ristić, while Jovan Dragašević was a member of the expert delegation.
	13 July	The Society published the following: A Short Story on Alexander the Great by Stojan Novaković, and Folk Songs from Older, Mostly Coastal Records, volume 1, by Valtazar Bogišić.
