1889.
	18 April	The Management Board of the Society sent a letter to the Minister of Education expressing its wish that Articles 6 and 31 of the Law on the Academy, concerning the requisition of the Society’s assets and the transfer of ownership to the Academy, be amended by law.

1890.
	11 December	A proposal to merge the Society and the Academy was put forward at the Management Board meeting.

1891.
	9 March	Minister of Education Andra Nikolić submitted a proposal for the merger of the Society and the Academy to the National Assembly. According to the proposal, the Society was to select eight of its members to become full members of the Serbian Royal Academy (SRA), while the remaining members were to become honorary members of the SRA, and the assets of the two institutions were to be merged.

1892.
	10 February	Pursuant to Article 7, item 3, of the Law on Amendments to the Basic Law on the Serbian Royal Academy, the members of the Society became honorary members of the Academy.
