Exhibition ’Art and Neuroscience’

The exhibition ’Art+Neuroscience 2019: Convergence of Art and Science’ as part of the manifestation of the same name, will open at the SASA Gallery of Science and Technology, on Thursday, 14 November, at 6 p.m.

For several years, SASA Gallery of Science and Technology has hosted exhibitions and projects connecting science and art, as part of international activities and initiatives titled Art+Science, in which the Centre for the Promotion of Science takes part. This fourth part of the programme of the Centre for the Promotion of Science is titled ‘The World behind the Eyes’ and it is dedicated to neurosciences as active and dynamic grounds for contemporary research.

The exhibition at the SASA Gallery of Science and Technology will feature works by Jasna Jovićević and Žarko Aleksić. The opening ceremony will stage the premiere of the performance titled ‘I sit and worry about her’ by Jasna Jovićević, the winner of the first national AI Lab competition in Serbia. This scientific-artistic project of the saxophonist and composer is dealing with the analysis of brainwaves by means of EEG sensor during improvised musical experiments.

The exhibition, organized by the Centre for the Promotion of Science and the SASA Gallery of Science and Technology lasts until 30 November.

Furthermore, the manifestation ‘Аrt+Neuroscience’ is the first programme activity of the Centre for the Promotion of Science in its capacity of the initial partner on the project European ARTificial Intelligence Lab – AI Lab, funded by the Creative Europe Programme.
