Funds and foundations

The Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts manages two foundations and two funds (the latter actually also being foundations, but have the status of funds in keeping with the provisions of the pertinent law), entered in the Register of Endowments and Foundations of the Business Registers Agency of the Republic of Serbia in 2012. These funds and foundations have the status of legal entities. They have their own management, separate bank accounts and are independent in financing their work and implementing the objectives for which they were created.

The FOUNDATION FOR THE STUDIES OF SCIENCES AND ARTS was created for the purpose of providing conditions for the education of young, exceptionally skilled and talented students and their additional training for performing creative work in the fields of science and art, as well as for the purpose of supporting studies in the fields of sciences and arts, thereby promoting protection and advancement of science and education.

The DRAGOSLAV SREJOVIĆ FOUNDATION FOR THE ACADEMY’S SCIENTIFIC AND ARTISTIC PROJECTS OF CAPITAL IMPORTANCE was established for the purpose of promoting protection and advancement of science, art and education and creating conditions for the development of SASA’s scientific and artistic work, thereby promoting protection and advancement of science and education.

The ZORA AND DR: VELIBOR POPOVIĆ FUND was created for the purpose of providing assistance with the collection, restoration and conservation of documents related to the political and cultural history of the Serbian people now kept in the SASA Archives, thereby promoting protection and advancement of science and education.

ĐORĐE ZEČEVIĆ FUND FOR THE PROTECTION AND ADVANCEMENT OF THE CYRILLIC SCRIPT. The purpose of this fund is stated in its name and its activities promote advancement and protection of science, art and education.

The BRANISLAVA BRANA BELIĆ FUND was established for the purpose of aiding the publication of catalogues of exhibitions organized and hosted by SASA in its Gallery, thereby promoting advancement and protection of art.

The SEKULA ZAČEVIĆ FUND was established for the purpose of developing more enthusiastic and successful activities aimed at improving cultural and economic life of the Serbs and providing aid for underdeveloped parts of the country, thereby promoting protection and advancement of science and education.

The NIKOLA TRAJKOVIĆ FUND was established for the purpose of awarding prizes to and supporting young Serbian writers and also for the purpose of maintaining Nikola Trajković’s tomb, thereby promoting protection and advancement of science and education..
