The highest management body of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts is the Assembly, composed of all the full and corresponding Academy members. It meets at least once a year. Its scope of work and decision-making includes adoption of the SASA Statute and making decisions on its amendments and supplements, setting the work program of the Academy, proposing the program of scientific research in keeping with the law pertaining to scientific research, discussing fundamental issues related to the work of the Academy and deciding on them, election of new members of the Academy, election and discharge of the President, Vice-Presidents, General Secretary, and Presidency members, confirmation of the election of branch presidents, and performance of other tasks as provided in the pertinent law and the Academy Statute.
The working bodies of the Academy Assembly are: Managing Committee of the SASA Fund for Research in Sciences and Arts; Financial Committee; and Commission for Endowments.
