2025 European Heritage Days – Architectural Heritage
This year, the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts participates in the European Heritage Days, a cultural event that has been traditionally organised in Belgrade since 2002 as part of a broader European initiative initiated by the Council of Europe and the European Commission.
This year’s programme focuses on Architectural Heritage, which highlights the European cultural identity diversity through architectural styles, periods and techniques; however, it also draws attention to the importance of preserving both physical structures as well as intangible heritage such as artisan skills and knowledge, which backs up their constructions.
The Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts is opening its doors, providing a unique opportunity for visitors to see the cultural and historical architectural values of the SASA Palace and familiarise themselves with its activities.
Interested visitors are invited to register for guided tours of the Palace, led by Sara Stanković, expert associate of the SASA Board for Architecture. The tours will offer insights into areas of the building that are normally closed to the public.
Four tours are scheduled:
- On Tuesday, 23 September, two tours at 12 and 6 p.m. and
- On Thursday, 25 September at 12 o’clock and 6 p.m..
The number of places is limited to 20 visitors per group, and registration is mandatory.
