The Landscape Architecture Salon has been organized in Serbia biennially since 2005. The Salon showcases works from the area of landscape architecture, such as plans, projects, studies, publications, videos and student works. The 2017 exhibition features 56 works. The Salon is international in character and, in addition to works from Serbia, it also includes 30 works from 14 other countries (Spain, Croatia, Greece, South Korea, Slovenia, Holland, Italy, Bulgaria, Austria, Great Britain, India, China, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro).
An international jury will award prizes for best works as well as the Grand Prix of the Salon.
Visitors will be able to see plans and designs for various spaces, from broad landscapes with potential solutions to environmental problems, to protection of cultural heritage, etc., to solutions for parks, open spaces around housing, recreation facilities, living roofs, business gardens, river banks, etc. There will also be several research ideas related to the issues of sustainable development, evaluation of landscape character, and spatial and environmental planning.
The goal of the Salon, besides promoting the profession, is to exert a positive influence on the Serbian public in order to promote the culture of spatial planning and the protection of natural and cultural values.
In addition to the exhibition, several other events will be organized as part of the Salon.
