Exhibition ’Belgrade: Unveiling Time Machine’

The exhibition ’Belgrade: Unveiling  Time Machine’ authored by Dušan Nađević, DA, opens on Monday, 22 August, at the SASA Gallery of Science and Technology, at 7 p.m.

The exhibition features 14 sites in downtown Belgrade, which are by means of contemporary photographs presented through drawings of the photographs of the same sites made in the second and third decades of the 20th century. The photographs of Luka M. Mladenović, a renowned drawing and graphics artist and one of the most significant chronicler of the interwar Belgrade, have been used for this purpose.

With the virtual and augmented reality technologies, the elected sites ‘come alive’ and are enriched by additional content and curiosities. The animation-transformation of a photograph into a drawing is carried out by the use of a tablet, simply by directing the device towards an exhibit—a marker and QR code, along with the possibility for a visitor to experience the above-mentioned transformation through their mobile device alike.

The exhibition will be on display at the SASA Gallery of Science and Technology until 12 September.
