Exhibition of Paintings ’In Large Scale’ in Užice City Gallery
The travelling exhibition of SASA titled ’In Large Scale – Paintings of Academicians (the 20th century), SASA Art Collection presents’ is to open at the Užice City Gallery, on Tuesday, 11 October, at 7 p.m.
The large-scale works of our fine art masters, who were elected SASA members in the second half of the 20th century, such as Marko Čelebonović, Petar Lubarda, Peđa Milosavljević, Mića Popović, Mladen Srbinović, Vlada Veličković, Bata Mihailović, Radomir Reljić and Petar Omčikus will be presented to the public. The paintings on display, in oil, acrylic or combined techniques on canvas, i.e. hardboard, were created in the period between 1935 and the end of the 1980s. They allow visitors to follow the basic art tendencies of the previous century in Serbian Art, as well to introduce them to some phases of the creative work of SASA members artists. The exhibition of large-scale paintings of SASA members is a unique tribute to all donors who can be credited with the scope and quality of the art fund which the Academy has in its Art Collection.
