Exhibition ’The Magnificent Seven. Seven Academicians Artists in Rajko Mamuzić’s Gift Collection’

On Wednesday, 23 October, the exhibition titled “The Magnificent Seven – Seven Academicians Artists in Rajko Mamuzić’s Gift Collection” which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the institution’s establishment and the 110th birthday of the collector Rajko Mamuzić, will open at the Gallery of Fine Arts of Rajko Mamuzić’s Gift Collection in Novi Sad. The exhibition will run until 26 December 2024. The exhibition is curated by Jovanka Stolić, with catalogue texts being authored by both Stolić and Jelena Mežinski Milovanović.

Co-organized by the Gallery of Fine Arts of Rajko Mamuzić’s Gift Collection and the SASA Gallery, the exhibition will feature works by seven artists of the first post-war generation who were inducted into the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA) between 1968 and 1997 as recognition of their outstanding artistic contributions and they are as follows: Ljubica Cuca Sokić, Miodrag Mića Popović, Stojan Ćelić, Mladen Srbinović, Milorad Bata Mihajlović, Petar Omčikos and Nikola Koka Janković.

The displayed works are part of the Mamuzić’s collection and SASA Art Collection, additionally, artworks from the private art collection of Nikola Bogdanović will be exhibited, which was modelled on the Gift Collection of Rajko Mamuzić and they make an integral unit.
