International Conference ‘Solitons, Collapses and Turbulence: Achievements, Developments, and Perspectives’
The eleventh international conference titled ‘Solitons, Collapses and Turbulence: Achievements, Developments, and Perspectives,’ opening on Monday, 1 July, at the SASA Grand Hall, is dedicated to the memory of Professor Vladimir E. Zakharov, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and professor at the University of Arizona in the USA.
This Conference encompasses the fields in which Professor Zakharov made significant contributions to the development of non-linear science in physics and mathematics. The Conference addresses a wide range of topics including non-linear optics, plasma physics, hydrodynamics, differential geometry, string theory and gravity, connecting them to soliton concepts, wave collapse physics, turbulence and chaos.
The programme features plenary talks, oral presentations, and poster sessions serving as a platform for intensive communication among participants, thus facilitating the exchange of new ideas and findings fostering the advancement of research in the field of non-linear science.
The Conference is organized by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Vinča Nuclear Research Institute and the Institute of Physics Belgrade.
