International Science Council’s Visit

A delegation of the International Science Council (ISC) visited the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts on 12 October 2025. The delegation included  Professor Yongguan Zhu, Vice-President of the ISC Committee for Membership, Director General of the Research Centre for Eco-environmental Sciences at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Qiansheng Huang, from the Institute for Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Ms Chuyue Zhong, Scientific Director of the Programme for Urban Health and Well-being. The meeting was attended by the President of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Academician Zoran Knežević, the Secretary of the SASA Department for Chemical and Biological Sciences, Academician Miodrag Čolić, a SASA representative to the ISC, and SASA Corresponding Member Željko Tomanović. Both sides recognised opportunities for improving bilateral cooperation and expressed interest in further advancing cooperation through joint research projects in the fields of environmental pollution and protection, soil biodiversity, microbial ecology, climate change, and public health.
