Lecture of Prof. Jovica Bađić, PhD

Jovica Bađić, PhD, a professor of the Ohio State University, is scheduled to give a lecture titled “Molecular Baskets: from Molecular Identification to Nanomedicine on Friday, 17 May, at 1 p.m., at the SASA Grand Hall.

Having graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Belgrade, Jovica Bađić obtained his PhD in 2001, from the Iowa State University. He became a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) in the area of supermolecular chemistry and nanotechnology, as a part of a leading world research group of J. Fraser Stoddart, Laureate of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He was awarded a prestigious Chancellor’s award of the University of California for outstanding research accomplishments in postdoctoral work. He has been employed as a professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Ohio State University since 2004.
