Lectures and Round Table ’Moore’s Law – Is it Still Relevant’
As part of the exhibition ’The exhibition 60 Years of Moore’s Law and 40 Years of Svet kompjutera Magazine’ authored by Academician Zoran Lj. Petrović and Zoran Mošorinski, an event titled ’Moore’s Law – Is it Still Relevant’ will take place on Monday, 19 January, at 2 p.m. at the SASA Hall 2 (First Floor of the SASA Palace). It includes six lectures and a round table with a discussion, which will be featured at the end. The exhibition is dedicated to marking 60 years from the formulation of Moore’s Law and four decades of the Svet Kompjutera Magazine, the longest-running magazine in our country. The participants in the accompanying event will try, among other things, to answer the question of whether Moore’s Law is still relevant and what the difficulties are in further explosive development of integrated circuit capacity.
Welcome addresses will be delivered by Academician Zoran Lj. Petrović and Prof. Milan Tadić (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade). This will be followed by a lecture by Darko Todorović (HTEC, Belgrade) entitled ‘About AI’. Stefan Vukčević (HTEC, Belgrade) will speak on ‘The Future of Moore’s Law’, Milan Tadić (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade) on ‘Still Moore’, and Jelena Popović Božović (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade) on ‘Moore’s Law and Integrated Circuit Design Techniques’.
The lecture ‘How Far Are Current Microchips from Moore’s Law’ will be delivered by Ivan Petraš (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade), while Academician Zoran Lj. Petrović will present ‘Physical Limits of the Validity of Moore’s Law’.
The programme will conclude with a round-table discussion.
