XXXIV Annual Exhibition

The exhibition ‘Medici pro Arte,’ which features doctors from Serbia showcasing their achievements in the fields of painting, sculpture, and art photography, will take place for the 34th time at the Gallery of the SASA Branch in Novi Sad. The exhibition will present accomplished artists-physicians members of ULUS and ULUV, as well as doctors who are not members of art associations.
The displayed artworks were created as part of the programme of the Section for Art, Culture, and Humanity of the Serbian Medical Society, specifically its Artistic Section of the Vojvodina Medical Society. Over the years, these physician-artists have donated numerous works to the City of Novi Sad, hospitals, gerontological centres, and institutes.
As the president of the DLV Art Section, Dr Vladimir Jokanović (Primarius – senior physician) notes in his text, written for the exhibition catalogue: ‘The profound sensitivity that artists have in understanding human spirituality obliges them to healing creativity in times of social chaos.’
