HONOR BRIDGET FELL
Biologist;
(b. Fowthorpe (Yorkshire), 22 May 1900 – d. London, 22 April 1986) 

Director of Strangeways Research Laboratory, from 1927; after retirement, she was a researcher at the Department of Immunology at the Cambridge University Department of Pathology.

Awards and recognitions: dr. h.c. of the University of Edinburgh; Smith College, USA; Oxon; Harvard; London; Cambridge; Glasgow; Leiden. Prix Charles Leopold Mayer (French Academy of Science, 1965); The Trail Medal of the Linnean Society, 1948; Prix Albert Brachet (Belgian Royal Academy, 1956); Heberden Medal for Research in Rheumatic Disease of the Heberden Society, 1968.
