Gymnasium teacher in Sremski Karlovci,  teacher’s school in Szentendre and Sombor and Belgrade Higher School, editor of Srbske Novine (Serbian Newspapers) and head of the Ministry of Education

Membership of Society of Serbian Letters (SSL): full member appointed on 27 May 1842; vice-president of SSL (1842–1847)
