MIKHAIL NIKIFOROVICH KATKOV Literary critic, publicist (b. Moscow, 1/13 November 1818 – d. Znamenskoye-Sadki, 20 July/1 August 1887)

Membership of Serbian Learned Society (SLS): corresponding member. There are no records of M. N. Katkov in membership lists (SLS) (Gl. SUD. 18 и 53) as well as in the state calendars; Neither was he listed in membership lists of SKA PI 116. He was only mentioned by Nićifor Dučić in his speech at a gathering of SLS on 29 December 1888 as a departed corresponding member (Gl. SUD 69 (1889) 324)
