Monograph Promotion ‘Landscape of Outstanding Features – Great War Island’
The monograph ‘Landscape of Outstanding Features – Great War Island’ published by the Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia and JKP Zelenilo Beograd will be presented within the ‘Nature in Urban Environment – Protected Areas in Belgrade’ at the SASA Gallery of Science and Technology, on Wednesday, 22 January, at 1 p.m.
The monograph depicts a unique protected natural resource located in the heart of Belgrade, emphasizing its natural, historical, social and ecological significance. It also discusses the management model and development strategy for this area as a natural resource in the category of landscapes of outstanding features.
On behalf of the publisher, the event will feature Dušan Tojagić, acting director of the general director of JKP Zelenilo Beograd and Branko Vujović, executive director of the Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia. Slađana Škobić, PhD, and Tanja Kukobat, MA, will discuss the book’s content and importance, while editor Ivana Jovanović will introduce the authors and contributors.
The landscape of outstanding features – Great War Island consisting of Great and Small War Islands represents one of the rare preserved oases of unspoiled nature in the very centre of the city.
