Multidisciplinary Conference ’Karst 2022: Importance, Status and Perspectives of the Use and Protection of Karst Resources’
The multidisciplinary conference titled ’Karst 2022: Importance, Status and Perspectives of the Use and Protection of Karst Resources’ opens at the SASA Grand Hall, on Friday, 21 October, at 9.30 a.m.
On the first day of the Conference, scientists from our country and the region will present papers on the challenges of karst research. The second day is dedicated to fieldwork and a scientific trip to karst phenomena in Eastern Serbia.
The Conference aims to present and promote scientific disciplines dealing with karst research, which kickstarted the International Year of Caves and Karst in 2021 by the International Union of Speleology with the support of UNESCO. This event provides an opportunity for experts and students to present the results of their research on karst environments.
The Conference sessions are dedicated to esteemed professors who passed away, members of the SASA Board of Karst and Speleology – Professor Borivoje Mijatović, Professor Dušan Gavrilović and Professor Božidar Ćurčić.
