Protection, Preservation and Affirmation of the Cultural Heritage of Serbia in Kosovo and Metohija
As part of the series ‘The Serbian Question’ a two-day scientific conference ‘Protection, Preservation and Affirmation of the Cultural Heritage of Serbia in Kosovo and Metohija’ is to open at the SASA Grand Hall, on Monday, 9 November, at 10 a.m. It is dedicated to establishing and analysing the current state of the Cultural Heritage of Serbia in the above-mentioned region, both tangible as well as intangible, estimating long-term threats to its survival, modes of its endangerment, disputing and falsifying its national identity and determining indispensable scientific and professional conditions (infrastructural, organizational, technical and staff) for its study, documentation, presentation, affirmation and preservation. A specially themed part of the conference shall examine the legal and political issues in Kosovo and Metohija related to the Cultural Heritage of Serbia and possible and sustainable status models will be indicated, which can bring about a valid framework for suitable protection of the identity and preservation of the Cultural Heritage of Serbia in various, possible modes of resolving Kosovo and Metohija’s political status.
Attendance will be available to a limited number of visitors, in accordance with the area capacity, epidemiological guidelines and restrictions.
