Regional Biophysics Conference
The Regional Biophysics Conference officially opens on Monday, 1 June, at the SASA Grand Hall, at 10.30 a.m. This is a biennial scientific event which was established through the cooperation of biophysics societies from Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. Since its establishment in 2005, the Conference has been held alternately in the above-mentioned countries and represents a dynamic platform for presenting the most recent developments in experimental, theoretical and applied biophysics.
This year, the conference takes place in Serbia, between 1 and 4 June. The organisers are the Biophysical Society of Serbia (BSS), while the co-organisers include the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia, the University of Belgrade – Institute for Multidisciplinary Research, the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, and the Faculty of Physical Chemistry, University of Belgrade. The event is supported by the International Union for Pure and Applied Biophysics (IUPAB) and the European Biophysical Societies’ Association (EBSA).
The conference will bring together researchers from the region and beyond, and will cover a wide range of contemporary biophysical research topics, including molecular mechanisms and complex biological systems. The event will feature keynote lectures and thematic sessions, as well as short reports and poster presentations.
