SASA Audiovisual Archives Online Presentation

Тhe internet presentation of the Audiovisual Archives and Centre for Digitization of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (AVA SASA) currently showcases six projects including SASA publications from 1980 to 2020, the Old and Rare Books Collection of the SASA Library, Josif Pančić Legacy from the Jevremovac Botanical Garden, Professor Aleksandar Đ. Kostić Photograph Legacy from the 1920s, documents related to the 1848/49 Serbian National Movement located at Sremski Karlovci Archives and family legacy of Mića Popović which encompasses his journals, storyboards from films he directed, drawing pads, notes and family photographs he took.

To date, AVA SASA has digitized a collection of 60,000 items—including books, documents, photographs, and herbarium samples—resulting in nearly 2 million digitized images. Of these, 39,000 objects and approximately 1.3 million images are now available online.
