SASA EXECUTIVE BOARD’S RESPONSE

The Executive Board of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts has received the information about the so-called ‘non-paper’, which Mr Besnik Bislimi posted on his portal, with complete indignation. We categorically claim that this is an outright fabrication, which attempts to implicate SASA in a paltry political ploy for the umpteenth time.

The text with which Academician Vasilije Krestić is credited is a complete falsehood since he has never studied scientific or political issues of Kosovo and Metohija, nor did he write nor sign a paper of similar content. Moreover, one should keep in mind that the members of the Academy have always expressed their opinion on the Kosovo issues; therefore, there has never been any need for secret documents.

The SASA header form also testifies to the forgery since it has been taken from a document which contains phone numbers that the Academy has not used for some time. Furthermore, the SASA registry logged a different document under the number of the forged one by Mr Bislimi, while the secret ‘non-paper’ does not exist anywhere, which can easily be confirmed at the SASA registry office.

The SASA Executive Board would like to state that the publication of this false and biased document represents a new, more malicious form of attack compared to what has previously been attributed to SASA in the statements of certain politicians and some newspaper articles.
